Death Benefit Insurance

Lisduggan District Credit Union offers eligible members cover under our Death Benefit Insurance policy (currently underwritten by New Ireland Insurance) which offers a benefit of €2,000 paid towards your funeral costs. The annual fee is deducted from participating members accounts every year. The fee will vary according to the fee per member set by the insurance company but will be a minimum of €30 and a maximum of €40.

The current eligibility requirements are:

• You must have opened your account before the age of 70 and completed a Death Benefit Insurance Form to opt-in.
• You must have been a member for a minimum of 6 months.
• You must hold a minimum balance of €50 in your account prior to the deduction of the annual fee.
• Death Benefit Insurance is only available on single accounts.
